Ruud Vekemans has spent over 30 years creating gorgeous objects in wood. In his native country The Netherlands, he specialized in building boats and custom woodwork on (sail)yachts, fitting out their lush, custom wood exteriors and interiors.

Since relocating to northern Vermont in 2007, Ruud has concentrated on custom commissions for furniture, built-ins and architectural elements - as well as fitting out a house for himself and his wife Charlotte.

He works from Colchester, where he has a woodworking shop in house with Red House Building.
